Prayer Ministry Stories
Church Stories on the Power of Prayer

Read Kay's powerful testimony on prayerwalking:
After my meeting with Laslene at the SCBC a week ago yesterday, I was sharing the Jericho prayerwalking story with two ladies that I was praying with on Friday. One of the ladies said she'd been sensing God saying to her that we needed to prayerwalk our church perimeter. The other lady spoke up saying why don't we prayerwalk for 7 days starting on Sunday, since that was the first day of our Passion Play, and the desire of our hearts was for lost people to come to know Christ through this drama. I sent out an email to my prayer ministry team sharing the story of the Jericho prayerwalk and the blowing of the shofar and the times that we would be prayerwalking on each of the 7 days. I asked each ministry leader to share this info with anyone in their “network” of friends. By Sunday, the word had spread to many who came up saying they would join us for at least one day. We never expected anyone to join us, but we were certainly happy to hear this.

On Sunday afternoon during the first performance there were 5 of us who prayerwalked. During the first showing, 12 professed Christ as Savior. During the second one, 28 professed Christ as Savior! What an answer to prayers! Each day we've had different people join us and we have been blessed as God lays His heart over ours as we pray. We've been delighted to see how God has changed our focus each day yet central to it all is our prayer for the lost to be drawn to the Lexington Passion Play so that God might rescue them through His abundant love!

Just had to share with you all how God has continued to use the Jericho prayerwalk as fuel for more prayer!
